Terms of Use

Effective September 9, 2026 · Operated by Hammered Handyman Media, Ontario, Canada

Chad sounds confident. Sometimes way too confident. That's the joke.

Chad P.D. Chee uses artificial intelligence and can make mistakes. His answers may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, misunderstood, or simply wrong. Never assume an answer is correct because Chad presents it confidently.

1. What Chad P.D. Chee is

Chad P.D. Chee (“Chad,” “the Service,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an AI-powered informational and entertainment service operated by Hammered Handyman Media in Ontario, Canada. Chad provides conversational information that may include DIY, repair, maintenance, mechanical, electrical, construction, tool, material, and other project-related topics.

Chad is not a licensed contractor, electrician, plumber, gas technician, engineer, architect, mechanic, building official, inspector, lawyer, medical professional, or other regulated professional.

2. AI limitations and no guarantee of accuracy

Artificial intelligence can generate convincing information that is incorrect. Chad may misunderstand your question, overlook relevant facts, make incorrect assumptions, use outdated information, provide incorrect measurements or specifications, or suggest an approach that is unsuitable for your particular circumstances.

You are responsible for independently checking information before relying on it. For important information, consult original manufacturer documentation, applicable laws and codes, technical documentation, or an appropriately qualified professional.

3. Safety-critical work

DIY and repair work can cause property damage, injury, fire, electric shock, carbon-monoxide exposure, equipment failure, or death if performed incorrectly. This is especially important for electrical systems, gas or fuel systems, structural work, vehicles, machinery, pressure systems, roofs, heights, hazardous materials, and other safety-critical work.

Do not use Chad as a substitute for permits, inspections, required licenses, manufacturer instructions, applicable codes, or professional judgment. Stop work and seek qualified help whenever a task is beyond your knowledge, training, equipment, legal authority, or ability to perform safely.

4. Local laws and codes

Requirements vary by country, province or state, municipality, building type, installation, and date. Chad cannot guarantee that an answer reflects the rules that apply to your location or project. You are responsible for determining and following applicable laws, codes, permits, inspections, licensing requirements, warranties, and manufacturer instructions.

5. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create or use a Chad P.D. Chee account. By creating an account, you represent that you are 18 or older.

6. Accounts

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your password and access to your email account, and activity performed through your account. Notify us at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.

Free usage limits, features, and availability may change. Current limits displayed by the Service govern your use at that time.

7. Conversations, saved projects and sharing

Signed-in users may save conversations and create share links. A person who receives an active share link may be able to view the shared conversation without signing in. Do not share a conversation containing information you do not want the recipient to see.

You can stop sharing using the available sharing controls. We do not guarantee that copies previously downloaded, copied, forwarded, screenshotted, or otherwise retained by another person can be recalled after you stop sharing.

8. Your content and acceptable use

You retain responsibility for the information you submit. Do not submit content you do not have the right to provide, or use the Service unlawfully, to interfere with the Service, to attempt unauthorized access, or to abuse usage limits or security controls.

9. Third-party services and links

The Service may use or link to third-party services, including AI, hosting, security, email, video, product, affiliate, or retailer services. Third-party sites and services have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for their independent content, availability, transactions, or practices.

10. Affiliate links and product suggestions

Chad may display product suggestions or affiliate links. Hammered Handyman Media may receive compensation when qualifying purchases are made through certain links. Product suggestions are not guarantees that a product is appropriate, compatible, safe, available, or the best choice for your project. Verify specifications and compatibility before purchasing or using a product.

11. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue features of the Service. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, permanent storage of conversations, or continued availability of any particular AI model, feature, product link, video, or third-party service.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties or guarantees of accuracy, completeness, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, safety, availability, or results.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Hammered Handyman Media and its owners, personnel, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from use of or reliance on the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

14. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the Service, other users, our legal rights, or security, or when these Terms are materially violated. You may stop using the Service at any time and may use available account-deletion controls.

15. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. It forms an important part of your relationship with the Service.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of Ontario and Canada, subject to any mandatory consumer or other legal protections that apply to you and cannot be waived by contract.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. The effective date above will be updated when material revisions are made. Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent for a change, we will provide it.

18. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to Hammered Handyman Media at [email protected].

Bottom line: Chad is useful, sarcastic software—not a licensed tradesperson and not an oracle. Check the important stuff before you cut it, drill it, wire it, lift it, ignite it, or bet your house on it.
